Your Stay
First of all Thank you so much for booking with us! Pleasure to have you!
After all checks and payments have been made via Airbnb or Respective online bookings portal, one to two days prior to your check in we will send you an email or message via airbnb with a pin code, room number and address. This is all you need!
With the pin code you will automatically be able to let your self in to the house within checkin times. Make note this pin will only work at check in time and dates.
Check in is at 3pm. This may be earlier however is completely dependant on our hardworking cleaners who are getting your room ready.
Check out is 11am. Your pin will stop working at 11:20am, a little bit of extra time just in case you forget something. If you do leave something behind contact me and it will be the lost and found area.
The pin code you are issued is for the front communal door and your personal suite/room door only. It is a unique pin and changes after each check in check out.

What is the best way to come from the Airport?
Otherwise you can take the train to Central Station then change at platform 19 to Redfern. Trains run every 10 mins – You will need an Opal card https://transportnsw.info/tickets-opal/ which you can top up for the duration of your stay in Sydney.
You can also take the train to central and change to Redern this will take approximately 30mins and cost $18 AUD.

Happy to have you and here are a few things things about your stay!!
- The Buxton House has a STRICT NO SMOKING policy inside. If a cleaner suspects that smoking has occured in room or bathroom we reserve the right to fine or charge an extra cleaning fee for curtains and to remove smell. However, if you would like to smoke please go out the back to the BBQ. Alternatively, out the front of the house. Please put cigarette butts in the bins and be mindful of other guests occupying the space.
- Please do NOT water any of the plants as we look after them regularly.
- Please ensure all doors are closed at all times. Please check to make sure your door is locked and secure when you leave your room and house.
- Use the Pin Code provided to enter the main communal door and allocated unit door at all times.
- Your room has an intercom system that enables you to communicate with persons at the front door, whether it is Uber eats or a guest. You can let them in by pressing the unlock button (buzzing them up).
- Please consider our friendly neighbours and keep all noise to a minimum after 10pm, especially in the BBQ area out the back.
- Regrettably, no pets are allowed in house unless it’s a guide dog.
Kitchen
- Bins and cleaning materials are located under the kitchen sink. Any recyclables go in the outside yellow bin and general waste goes in the red bins: which are stored down stairs in the back passage.
- Microwave: The microwave is located in the cupboard. Please place the microwave on the mat as labeled.
- User Manual’s for air conditioning, oven, cooktop are all located in the kitchen cupboard.
- Kettle, toaster and all other kitchen electronics are in the kitchen cupboards.
Bathroom
- The hair dryer and extra toilet paper is located underneath the basin in vanity cupboard.
- First Aid Kit with band aids are located in the bathroom cupboard.
Bedroom
- Each bed has a Sealy mattress to ensure you get the best sleep.
- There are extra pillows and a blanket on top of wardrobe if needed.
- Side clock has bluetooth speaker options for you to play your music 🙂
Laundry
- Laundry is located on the ground floor out the back. The laundry contains washing machine, basin, drying rack and all cleaning equipment (broom, mop bucket, cleaning products and bin liners).
- An Iron and Ironing board are located in the laundry. Please return the iron and ironing board once finished using it – As the laundry is shared please return once used for other guests, Thank you.
- The washing machine is easy to use. Detergent is located under the basin. Just put a small cup of detergent in top loader left compartment and select your settings, then hold down the start button. You can hang your clothes on the drying rack or in your room.
BBQ area
- Get some sun and use the outdoor BBQ area. Open umbrella up carefully if you would like some shade.
- We have home grown herbs and vegetables. Feel free to pick your own.
- Regrettably No Pets are allowed in BBQ area. This is for consideration of others using the communal area.
Departure – Checkin Out check List
- Check out is 11:00am.
- Upon leaving room we would appreciate it if you could please ensure all the lights, air conditioning and any electrical small goods are switched off and placed back where they were found.
- Please take general waste and place it in the red bin and any recyclables in the yellow bin located in the back passage on the ground floor.
- Please leave the linen on the bed. Our cleaners will look after the refurbishment.
